Porn sensation Aiden Starr moved to NYC to attend university but ended up becoming a fetish superstar. After completing her education, Aiden moved to the West Coast and opened her own branch of the Den in the heart of Hollywood. The L.A. Den quickly became an in-demand filming location for producers from not only the straight porn and fetish industries but the regular entertainment industry as well, inspiring Mistress Lolita herself to take up video production. In 2006, Aiden Starr joined forces with longtime friend Julie Simone to begin producing Vicious Vixens for Julie Simone Productions. The popular series combines an authentic respect and understanding for the fetish lifestyle market with just enough of a veneer of glossy eroticism to attract the mainstream market as well. As you may have heard Social Kink headed out to Las Vegas for the Adult Entertainment Expo last week. We were out there for a few days and we had some wonderful people with us. Fetish model Aiden Starr was at the Social Kink booth doing signings Thursday through Saturday. Just before the show we had a chance to talk to her for a minute and get to know what she's done and where she's been.

Regarding your name change, how have you reestablished yourself in the fetish world since becoming Aiden Starr?

Fortunately, no one seems to have forgotten me. I have attempted to merge the fetish and hardcore porn worlds in my life by doing shoots that encompass both genres. One of my first xxx shoots was for Joey Silvera in his "Strap-Attack" line, which featured strap-on training and traditional intercourse.

You were a Mistress in Manhattan, and then moved to Hollywood. When did you become interested in producing? Was there a key moment when you realized you wanted to start making films?

I have always been interested in filmmaking. In fact, I made several fetish/horror movies when I was in high school. So it was only my choosing to continue an activity that I have always enjoyed.

Do you have any memorable scenes from your DM [Dungeon Monitor] days or any favorite scenes from your films and photo shoots? What do you enjoy most about what you do?

I have always enjoyed working with my favorite photographer, John Nystrom. He shot a scene for me once that was a custom video that I did with fetish model Darling. The scene is memorable because I suspended her in leather straps over a table and dipped her clamped nipples in a bowl of ice. Needless to say this was difficult and John was incredibly supportive of both Darling and myself. I most enjoy making art out of fucking.

Describe your most favorite scene from a photo shoot or film. Why did you enjoy it so much?

My favorite scene from a photo shoot or film would have to be a scene by David Aaron Clark in his "Asia Noir 3" featuring Jade Blue and Mr. Marcus. It's a creepy medical scene where Jade does some contortion on a desk in a medical office. Yeah, contortion, medical, Asian, black - you just can't go wrong there! I was not in this scene - but it is still my favorite.

If you had to choose a single fetish as your absolute favorite, what would that be and why? What are your favorite items in your toy box?

This is a tough one. Let's just go with strap-on. Favorite fetish and toy.

You've done glamour as well as BDSM, do you prefer sticking to BDSM or do you enjoy doing other types of sets and videos?

Since I have been at this for several years now, I like to break it up. So long as the other people in the crew and scene are fun, I will enjoy just about any genre.

You've worked with other girls in the fetish scene, such as Julie Simone, who has been your favorite person to work with? Any memorable moments?

Oh yes! I recently worked with a bondage model named Annabelle Lee for Kink for their Whippedass.com site. She was amazing and I could not possibly say enough good things about her! The scene was a g/g BDSM scene featuring flogging, suspension, and lots of strap-on sex! She is adorable and enthusiastic. It also didn't hurt that she's a tiny redheaded Virgo.

As a Fetish Star, what advice can you give to women out there who want to get into fetish modeling and films?

I would recommend that any woman who wants to get into fetish modeling and films get references for the director and talent she will work with. Comfort is so important to the quality of performance.
